Reviving Lydford Road O gauge Layout

My local model railway club has had its first O gauge running session since 2014; We used to run meetups on a Friday evening but they stopped due to a lack of attendance. 5th June, a group of us set a date to put the layout up and we spent a lovely evening playing trains. I brought along my Jinty 'Thomas', 14xx 1436 'Oliver', Jinty 47327 'Old Lizzie', two BR Suburban coaches and a load of LMS vans.

I also brought along these two wagons in rememberence of two members who have sadly passed away. The GWR 4 Plank Kit belonged to my friend Neil, who made all the buildings on our O gauge scottish layout, and the 6 wheel Toad Van was my friend Tonys who was a real leading force in the O gauge nights and really helped to shape them into what they were.

Dapol 48xx converted to a 14xx with number plates by 'Light Railway Stores' and Top Feed by 'ModRail'

Dapol Jinty painted as Thomas with face painted by Claire Hawken.

Dapol Jinty No. 47327, based on the same engine used in the 1949 film 'Train of Events'.

This was fun! It felt so good to run my models on the very layout that helped to start my O gauge journey all those years ago, and I'm really looking forward to the next running session!
